Domenique Serfontein is the illustrator and storyteller behind Maiden Moose Studio, based in the Wicklow Mountains, Ireland. Her illustrations celebrate the beauty of animals and nature, often weaving them into scenes inspired by Irish landscapes. With a childlike wonder for the natural world at the heart of her work, her illustrations are perfectly suited for picture books and for those who appreciate charming narratives with animal protagonists.

Domenique works across picture books, editorial features, and commercial commissions. Her clients include Quarto Publishing, The O'Brien Press, Rizzoli UK, and Gill Books. Blending traditional and digital media, she uses playful storytelling to inspire empathy for the environment.

Domenique is proudly represented by Carter at Tugeau2 Art and Literary Agency. She holds a BA in Graphic Design and is currently completing an MA in Illustration at Falmouth University. When not illustrating, she can be found hiking the Wicklow trails with her husband and two dogs, Nina and Heidi, or enjoying some downtime reading, gaming, or pottering about in her garden.
